In this vast landscape of mountain villages, a lone cherry tree in bloom stands. This cherry tree is said to be more than 1,000 years old and the area becomes bustling with many tourists in the cherry blossom season. The tree is illuminated at night when the cherry blossoms are half in bloom.

Night time illumination (starts when the blossoms are half in bloom.)
After cherry blossoms are in full bloom, it gets packed with Japanese tourists on the weekends, and heavy traffic jams occur quite often. It is better to avoid weekends, and visit on weekdays instead.
