Washboard of demon

Wavelike rocks spreading out for 8 km around Aoshima Island (860 meter around, 6 meters above sea level) near the southeast coast of Miyazaki City. These rocks formed underwater and were later pushed above the surface, and were eroded by the waves for a long time. Sand accumulated on them and they took on the shape of a washboard, earning it the name ”The Devil's Washboard”.
