The 7m-wide waterfall is one of Japan's top 100 falls, standing 25m tall. The waterfall is named after ”Jorenji Temple” which used to be situated near the waterfall. The roaring water of this waterfall offers a mysterious atmosphere inside the otherwise quiet forest.

The area is relatively cooler even in the middle of the summer. You are strongly advised to bring warm clothing and sneakers.
A 5-minute walk from "Joren no taki" stop by Tokai Bus from the "Shuzenji Station" (35-minute bus ride) on the Sunzu Line of Izuhakone Railway.
