In a lush corner of Matsunoyama lies a 90 year old beech forest. The beautiful, slender shape of the trees, it is also called ”Bijinbayashi” (Forest of Beauties). A popular spot for fans of photography, it is also famous as a healing spot.

From the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line's "Matsudai station", take a ride heading to Matsunoyama hot springs, alight in front of the "Matsunoyama high school" (20 minutes) and walk for 15 minutes.
