There are 400 Somei-yoshino (Cerasus) cherry blossom trees, which were planted for the current emperor's birthday in 1934. They bloom beautifully along the river for about 2km. These old trees are well-taken care of, and many tourists visit to see them bloom every year.

At night, cherry blossom trees along the river are illuminated beautifully. Nearby are the residences of samurai, equally as famous as the cherry blossoms, so you can enjoy different atmospheres.
