A mountain at an altitude of 877 meters in the north end of Tsukuba city. It consists of two peaks called Nantaisan and Nyotaisan. Mt. Tsukuba is the most famous ”power spot” in Ibaraki prefecture, and the mountain itself is an object of worship. There are various famous attractions and historic sites surrounded by rich nature.
The coming of autumn cools down the air in the area, where you can observe a panoramic 360 degree view of the Kanto Plains as well as the view from Mt. Fuji and Mr. Asama, to Nikko and Nasu mountain ranges.
Take the Tsukuba-san shuttle bus from the "Tsukuba Station" and get off at the "Tsutsujigaoka" bus stop (50-minute ride)
