Built in 1611, the castle is sometimes called ”Chidori Castle” (chidori meaning 'plover', a type of bird), because its roof resembles a plover spreading her wings. It is undeniably beautiful with its springtime cherry blossoms, and also when the snow covered castle is illuminated in winter.

The castle tower is illuminated from the sunset to 22:00. It is worth taking a look at the fantastic castle in the scenery of snow in winter and cherry blossoms in spring.
