Nebuta Festival

For six days from August 2nd to 7th every year, this summer festival takes place in the main streets of Aomori. It is famous for large floats carrying a large doll called ”Nebuta,” which is decorated with paper, and dance groups called ”haneto” perform around it. More than three million people attend the festival every year.
