The white lighthouse, rago Misaki Lighthouse, is situated on the tip of Atsumi Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture, and along with Kamishima Lighthouse, plays a significant role as the guiding light for the numerous ships coming in and out of Mikawa Harbor/Kinuura Harbor. The lighthouse has a dignified presence overlooking the Pacific Ocean, as well as Ise Bay/Mikawa Bay and was selected as one of the “Nihon no Today 50-sen (The 50 most beautiful lighthouses in Japan)”. It is a very memorable lighthouse.
