As its name indicates, Nametoko Canyon (Smooth Floor Canyon) has a smooth riverbed at its base. Crystal clear water flows down the river while creating unique patterns on the riverbed. There is a 12-kilometer nature trail that runs alongside. The abundant nature attracts many people, especially for the new green leaves in spring and the changing of the colors in autumn.
