The Highlands overlook the rugged Hiruzen-sanzan mountains and are known as the largest Jersey cattle farming area in Japan. The idyllic countryside spreads out towards thr horizon filled with herds of cattle basking in the sun. In autumn, the setting sun reflecting off of clusters of silver grass can put visitors in a nostalgic mood.
