A great castle at the summit of Mt. Kinkazan from the Sengoku period. It was said that ”whoever controls Mino controls the world”. Oda Nobunaga seized control of this castle and made it the base for unifying the nation. Known previously as the Inabayama Castle, it has an altitude of 329 m and it is possible to see the Nagara River and Mount Ena from the castle tower.

    We can enjoy a panoramic night view from the castle tower when the ropeway is in operation for evening. During GW and summer school holidays, Mt. Kinkazan ropeway is often in operation for evening time. However, check the website before going to avoid disappointment.
