For over four centuries from the medieval period, the castle has been an important spot for various histories of Japan. One of its attractions is a stone wall, so-called ”warrior guard”: while the slope around the ground is mild, it gets uniquely steeper as it goes up. There is an underground passage inside the castle, which is rare to find in other castles nationwide, and it is open to the public.
