Sapporo Snow Festival

The Festival of Snow and Ice held in early February every year at a few places, one of them is Odori Park, where sculptures made of snow and ice are exhibited. This is one of the biggest events held in Hokkaido, about 2 million people visit from all over Japan as well as from all over the world.
Odori Park is illuminated until 22:00 every night during the festival.* Please note that the illumination schedule may vary by site.
You will have to walk for a long time, wearing skiing jacket or a thick coat is recommended. The most ideal outerwear would be overcoat or ski jumper type. In addition, hats, earmuffs and gloves are must-have's.

- Tsu-Dome Venue : 15-minute walk from Sakaemachi Station (※A shuttle bus service is available from several points in the city.)
