Naruko Hot Spring Resort
©AFLO, Hideki Nawate
Out of 11 hot spring water types that exist in Japan, this unique hot spring area has 9 of these kinds in one place. A major attraction is the Dewa/Sendai Road, where you can enjoy scenic spots described in ”Okuno Hosomichi” (”The Narrow Road to the Deep North” by Basho Matsuo, a famous Haiku poet in the early Edo period). The atmosphere remains the same as olden days.
Naruko Onsen, Osaki, Miyagi
Naruko Gorge located about 4km away from "Naruko Onsen Station" is known as a best spot for tinted autumn leaves. Not only those autumn leaves, but also Naruko Gorge in fresh verdure is a must-see.
