Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridge is a largest scale bridge connecting Oshima and Shikoku. It is the world's first bridge consisting of three consecutive suspension bridges. The view of the landscape from the 4,000m-tall bridge is spectacular. With the illumination at night, you can enjoy a unique scene from daytime.
Mukuna, Yoshiumi-cho, Imabari, Ehime
There is a bicycle-and-pedestrian only road. You can enjoy the view of islands in the Seto Inland Sea while crossing the bridge with your bike or on foot. There are also many cycling and walking events.
From Imabari: - Take Shimanami liner to Innoshima Bridge (50 mins), transfer to local bus and get off at Onomichi (20 mins). - Take Shimanami Cycle Express and get off at Onomichi (90 mins). From Matsuyama: Take Kirara Express to Onomichi (130 mins).
From Imabari: Drive to Nishiseto-onomichi via Nishiseto Expressway, then turn into National Route 2 Onoshima Fukuyama Expressway to Fukuyama-nishi. From Fukuyama-nishi, you can reach Onomichi via Sanyo Expressway (70 mins).
