Kurihara & Toyoma

Kurihara & Toyoma

There are many apple farms in the Kurihara and Toyoma area, where you can pick apples and sell products made from apples, and you can enjoy the area's gourmet food. The 1,626-meter-high "Mt. Kurikoma," which straddles three prefectures (Miyagi, Akita, and Iwate), is home to rare alpine plants and a wide variety of wild birds. They make it an excellent place for bird watching and trekking. The national park, which creates a different charm with each season, is also one of the most popular tourist spots.
