Shirahama beach boasts the greatest beauty of the Izu Peninsula with a vast sandy beach of 700m, it is a popular beach known throughout the country. The scenery of the white sand and blue sky, the torii gate, and the sea standing on the Daimyojin Rock, all are full of charm.
This spot is also a place where the Perry Expedition Ships fleet visited in the middle of the 19th century, you can find here related to that event places such as the Perry Road and the Perry Fleet's arrival commemoration.
