Yamaguchi & Akiyoshi
Akiyoshidai Quasi-National Park in the Mine City, central Yamaguchi Prefecture, is a national park that has about 200 caves (limestone caves) with a beautiful karst plateau and famous Akiyoshido Cave. It has become an indispensable tourist destination in this area. Yamaguchi City boasts the largest amount of hot water in the Sanyo area. Yuda Onsen, which has been around since the Muromachi period, is characterized by its soft water quality. There is a legend that says a wounded white fox visited here to heal a wound. Here you can feel the unique history of this land, looking at "Ruriko-ji Five Story Pagoda" - one of the three famous towers in Japan.
