Magoigaike pond in Yoshigahira is surrounded by virgin beech forests and has a beautiful mystical landscape. There is a legend of a love story between the owner of the pond (a giant snake) and the daughter of the village headman, and its festival is held in summer in honor of this legend.
The Iwamura and Yahiko area has several scenic spots, including the Mt. Yahiko Observation Building and the Yahiko Summit Park. The Iwamuro Onsen (hot spring) is a famous sightseeing place as the suburb of the Niigata area.
