Otsukushimae and the surrounding areas
“Karikomiike Pond” is one of the most famous places for viewing autumn leaves in this area. Karikomiike is a small pond with a circumference of about 400 meters, located at the foot of the mountain in the beautiful beech forest. It is stunning to see the autumn leaves of the beech trees and the three peaks of Hakusan reflected in the water. Just walking or strolling around in the clear air will make you feel refreshed. The Okuetsu Kogen Farm is also a good place for families to visit, where about 150 cows graze freely in the vast pastures.
