Hikone Castle, also known as "Golden Turtle Castle," is one of the famous tourist attractions in Shiga Prefecture. The castle tower, the" Sumiyagura," an important cultural asset, the "Genkyuen" (a garden in a suburban residence), the inner moat, and the middle moat that retain their original appearance.
"Lake Biwa," located in the Nagahama area, is the largest lake in Japan in terms of area and water storage capacity and can be enjoyed by touring ships and fishing.
