The attractions in this area facing the sea include” Shirarahama beach” with its pure white sand and blue sea, “Shirahama Onsen Saki no Yu (hot springs),” the oldest of the Shirahama Onsen. It is also famous “ Senjyoujiki,” with its large rock formation that looks like multiple layers of tatami mats, “Engetsujima,” famous as a spot for watching the sunset, and “Sandanpeki,” where the hills of the flat grassland seem to cut off into the Pacific Ocean. The area around Shirarahama is lined with many onsen (hot spring) hotels and is a recommended resort area where you can rent a bath and enjoy the ocean view.
