Tochigi Prefecture is a highland resort area very near the heart of the capital. The Ashikaga Flower Park in Ashikaga City is a garden that features hundreds of varieties of flowers and trees. The massive wisteria, symbols of the park, are not to be missed. There are no lack of destinations for enjoying beautiful scenery in the Nasu area either, from the 1,300 years of history found at Nasu Onsen to the Komadome Falls and the Tsutsuji-gunraku azalea flower village.
