This time I will provide information of the cherry blossom forecast of 2020, and the magnificent cherry blossom spots in Japan!
The cherry blossoms in the southern Tohoku region and Hokuriku region are getting ready for their peak.
In southern Tohoku, many places are in full blossom in the last half of April, so it is not too late to go cherry blossom viewing! (as of April 5th, 2020)

The Fukuoka Castle that was built by the Kuroda Clan is at the center of the Maizuru Park. A vassal and his wife planted the large cherry blossom tree of Isshingyo a long time ago to mourn for the deceased military commanders who died at war. This tree was named Isshingyo when it was planted, which means to complete religious training with intent. The mountain cherry tree with a height of 14 meters, a trunk circumference of 7 meters, and branches that stretch out to more than 20 meters, standing next to the carpet of rape blossoms is certainly a breathtaking sight.

The Shimanami Kaido that connects Honshuu and Shikoku is popular as the "holy land for cyclists". The Hirakiyama Park is located on a cycling road in the northwest part of Hakata Island at an altitude of 149 meters. It is a magnificent cherry blossom spot where you can view the Seto Inland Sea and about 1,000 cherry trees.

4. The cherry trees of Senkoji Park | Hiroshima

|Use this as the goal for a walk through the town of Onimichi. A cherry blossom spot where you will feel relaxed from the view of the beautiful islands of Seto.

Onimichi is a town with a hill that has numerous temples and unique shops standing on it. Senkoji Park is located at the very top of Onimichi. In the park there are about 1,500 cherry trees including double-petaled cherry trees and Somei-Yoshino cherry trees. You can also overlook the islands of Seto Inland Sea and the magnificent scenery of cherry blossoms from the observatory at the top of the mountain. This park in Onimichi, which is often called the "little Kyoto of the west", is the perfect spot for the climax of cherry blossom viewing.

This garden was originally a private garden that was only open for relatives. Only the local people knew about it, but after the garden was highly praised through the SNS, it became open for the public. Now there are also visitors from foreign countries. In this garden that is 3/10 the size of the Tokyo Dome, there are about 400 cherry trees of 20 different kinds, and it looks like a jungle of cherry trees. The best highlight of this garden is the breathtaking Beni-Shidare (red weeping) cherry trees. You will lose your words when you see the unimaginable pale pink flood.

|Enjoy the riverside path lied with cherry trees and Iwakura tradition "Nonbori Arai"

On both sides of the Gojo River, there is a beautiful pink tunnel made of about 1,400 cherry trees over approximately 7.6km. As well as the beauty of the cherry trees, the traditional event "Nonbori Arai" during the "Iwakura Cherry Blossom Festival" is a must-see. "Nonbori Arai" is the task of washing off the glue on handmade carp streamers in the Gojo River located in Iwakura. The sight of the colorful carp streamers floating on the river under the cherry blossoms is a signature spring feature of Iwakura.

In Chidorigafuchi there is a beautiful pink arch created by 260 cherry trees planted along the moat of the Imperial Palace. At the time of full bloom, many tourists visit to take a photo of the collaboration between the breathtaking weeping tree and the temple. There is a ropeway that will take you to the top of Mt. The Fujiwara Palace Ruins is on the site of where Japan's first capital was. Every season you can see beautiful plants including cosmos and lotus flowers, but the best season is when the rape blossoms and cherry blossoms bloom together. During this season you can see a beautiful collaboration of the pink Somei-Yoshino cherry trees that fall on to the yellow carpet made of about 2.5 rape blossoms. There is also a history museum, so you can enjoy the scenery along with its history.

The Nicchu Line was once a railway that carried many people from Kitakata Station to Atsushio Station. On the 3km path that was built on the site of where the Nicchu Line used to be, there is a grand pink tunnel made up of about 1,000 weeping cherry trees. The steam locomotive that used to run on the line is also exhibited, and there are many people who visit to take a photo of the magnificent scenery of the black steam locomotive and pink cherry blossoms.

The tree's name comes from the legend that Minamoto No Yoshitsune, a military commander, tied a horse to this tree on his way to Oushu. The sight of the large 400-year-old Edohigan cherry tree, with a height of about 20 meters, that beautifully spreads out like a folding fan is breathtaking. The rice field next to it is filled with water during its flowering season, and the scenery looks more beautiful with the cherry blossoms reflecting on the surface of the water.。

About 400 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees brilliantly bloom along the Hinokinai River for approximately 2km. The pale pink tunnel created by cherry trees planted close together is perfect for taking a walk in the spring. Only about 3 minutes away from these cherry trees, there are the weeping cherry trees of the Kakunodate Samurai Houses, which were selected as one of the top 3 cherry blossom spots in Northern Tohoku. It is also recommended to take a stroll through the two famous cherry blossom spots of Kakudate.

The Hirosaki Park that surrounds the Hirosaki Castle has a vast area of about 10 times the Tokyo Dome. In the spring it becomes a cherry blossom spot with approximately 2,600 cherry trees of 52 different kinds, including weeping cherry trees and double-petaled cherry trees. You cannot miss the illumination of the cherry blossoms at night. This spot became popular after it was introduced in a book called "The breathtaking sights in the world I want to see before I die". The illumination makes the atmosphere of the outer moat of the castle filled up in a pink carpet feel even more fantasy-like.

There are 3,000 cherry trees lined up for about 7km along the Nijukken Road. This road was named Nijukken because the width of the road is 20 (Niju) ken, or 36 meters. This large-scale cherry blossom perfect for Hokkaido is outstandingly spacious. It is also one of the best cherry blossom spots in Japan that was selected as a "Hokkaido Heritage" and as one of the "Top 100 cherry blossom spots".
