The cave at Genbudo Park, now designated as a national natural treasure, was formed over 1.6 million years ago via a volcanic eruption. Someone took a stone of the cave to reveal one of only a few hexagonal basalts stacked up. Visitors in June can enjoy walking around the park to see all the hydrangeas blooming in the “Hydrangea Festival”.
