Located at the northern edge of Ishigaki Island, a lighthouse offers a refreshing view of the clear blue ocean and small islands. Also visable from the lighthouse, a sandy beach awaits at the bottom of the sloping hills.

The only restaurant in Hirakubo area is in the village on the way, and it serves Soki Soba (thick noodles served in a pork soup). Dropping by is a good idea as it is a popular place.
Local bus: Alight at "Hirano" stop on the Hirano line or Ibaruma line via Hirano, and walk for 15 minutes.
