The Sanriku Fukko National Park was built as a memorial and symbol of reconstruction for the areas effected by the Great Tohoku earthquake and tsunami on Match 11th, 2011. White volcanic rocks stand close together, their sharpness and grandeur mixed together to create a magnificent scenery. The contrast between the breaking waves and rocks is beautiful.

From JR "Miyako Station" take a bus bound for Oku Jodogahama and get off at "Oku Jodogahama".
