This infamous cherry blossom viewing location is commonly called “The Sacred Temple of Flowers”, Sueto the fact that around 1,000 cherry trees bloom here – from wild cherry trees to Yoshino cherry trees. It is also fondly known as “Peony Temple”, due to the fact that around 7,000 peony flowers bloom here from mid-April to early May.
