Kitano Tenmangu Shrine
May
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is infamous for its plum blossoms and autumnal leaves. Enshrining the "God of Learning", Sugawara no Michizane, this shrine is also often fondly referred to as "Tenjin-san" (Heavenly Gods). Beautiful plum blossoms can be enjoyed here from February through March, while the fresh green leaves take over from May. Magnificent autumnal colors can be enjoyed from October through December.
