This cave was formed when natural waves hit the shore. The ceiling of the sea cave has long since been destroyed, with skylight flooding into the 50 meter gap. Ryugukutsu Cave boasts the largest skylight in an Izu cave. The shape of this gap looks like a heart when seen from above. It is due to this that it has become a popular spot for lovers.
