This shrine, located on the banks of the Kiso River, is known as one of the “8 scenic views of Japan”, as well being the birthplace of the Japanese legend, Momotaro. A concrete statue of Momotaro by concrete sculptor Shoun Asano is located on the precincts. The shrine is also loved by the locals for being a place to pray for the health of children.
