A scenic waterfall selected as one of the “Top 100 Waterfalls of Japan”, as well as one of the “Top 100 Views of Oita”. Made from the pyroclastic flow caused from the great eruption of Mt. Asosan 90,000 years ago, Harajiri Waterfall is a very rare countryside waterfall. It is also commonly referred to as the “Niagara of Japan”.
