Hunter Mountain Shiobara
A gondola is in operation to the summit of the mountain during late-October to early-November when the autumnal colors are at their peak. An observatory is located at approx. 1,600m, where a panorama of the Kanto Plains and the Nikko mountain range can all be enjoyed. One side of the mountain is dyed red during the first half of the season, before later turning a golden yellow color. The “Lily Exhibition” held at the lily park in summer is said to be the largest of its kind in Japan, with a total of 4-million lilies all blooming profusely.
