Shirotori Garden
- 白鳥庭園
- Aichi
With an area of approx. 3.7 hectares, Shirotori Garden is said to be the largest chisen-kaiyu garden (style of garden that features a path around a pond) in the Chubu region of Japan. The artificial hill on Mt. Ontakesan is widely-known as the motif of the area, with the Kiso River flowing down from it. The pond which the water from Kiso River flows in to is often likened to Ise Bay. This perfectly depicts the parks theme of “The story of Water”; from source to ocean. A wide variety of flowers bloom here throughout the year; such as cherry blossoms in March-April, and the autumnal colors in late-November. Enjoy how the natural landscape can change depending on the season at Shirotori Garden!
