Taishakukyo Gorge/Onbashi Bridge
Taishakukyo Gorge is a natural bridge made of limestone that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Due to the erosion activity in the long-standing water around it, it boasts of a total length of 90 meters, a width of 18 meters, a thickness of 24 meters, and a height of 40 meters from the river bed. It was once a highway where people, horses, and carriages passed; traces of that time still remain. From the end of October to the beginning of November, maple leaves and the budding of the ginkgo biloba appear, and visitors can enjoy the colorful scenery of yellow, orange, and red autumn leaves.
