From Kamikochi's symbol, the "Kappa Bridge," walking upstream for about an hour along Azusa River's left bank will lead to the Myojin Pond. The conifer forests that surround it is projected in the surface of the pond, with the sky right in the center. At its entrance sits Hotaka Shrine. From mid to late October, autumn leaves blanket the surroundings with magnificent colors.
