One of Japan's Top 100 waterfalls, Yonako Falls is composed of two waterfalls: "Gongen Falls," with its tremendous roaring sound, also called "Man's Waterfalls;" and "Fudo Falls," which is like a soft silk cloth that spreads out in a fan, and looks like a celestial maiden's robes, also called "Woman's Waterfalls." Together they are called "Couple's Waterfalls," or "Lovers' Waterfalls." The best time to visit is from around the beginning of October, when the autumn leaves can be seen.
