Ishizuchi Shrine, composed of four shrines, begins at the foot and ends at the top of Mt. Ishizuchi. The shrine at the very top sits at an altitude of 1,982 meters, and the approach to the summit is a steep rocky area. A majestic 360-degree view can be seen from the top of the mountain, and on a sunny day, visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of the Shikoku mountains, Seto Inland Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and the island of Kyushu. Autumn leaves in this area are at their peak from early to mid-October.
