Oct. Early morning

Nankichi Niimi, author of the Japanese fairy tale "Gon the Little Fox," is a native of Handa City and the location for his tale is set around Yakachigawa River. As depicted in "Gon the Little Fox," more than 3 million clusters of red spider lilies are planted around 2 kilometers along Yakachigawa River. Every year, around the end of September, when the red spider lilies are at full bloom, "Gon's Autumn Festival" is held at the location where the fairy tale is set.
