Yuri Kogen Railway
This local train runs at a total of 23 kilometers of distance in the southern part of Akita prefecture, at the base of Mt. Chokai. Also called "Chokai Mountain Plateau Line," though there are no famous sightseeing spots along its railway lines, visitors will be able to see the unchanged beauty of the rural landscape, which retains its apperance even from long ago. Also, on one route per day which departs at 9:40 in Yashima and at 10:43 in Ugo-Honjo, the Akita Obako Attendants (Akita Maid Attendants) are on board to provide tour guides.
