Maruo Falls, located along National Route 223 from Maruo Onsen to Kirishima-Jingu Shrine, is a large waterfall with a height of 23m and a width of 16m. Since the waterfall collects the hot spring water of Iodani and mixes it in the flows, it is a rare waterfall with raising steam during wintertime. This place is also popular as a spot for autumn maple leaves view in fall.
