Toi-misaki lighthouse in Kyushu is the only one open to the public, and is selected as one of the "Japan's best 50 lighthouses". The lighthouse is situated in the southernmost part of the Nichinan Coast National Park. Opening hours are 09:00-16:30. (Requires an admission fee)
From the "Kushima station" on the JR Nichinan Line , ride a community bus bound for "Toi-misaki (Cape Toi) " for 35 minutes, alight at the final stop and walk for 5-15 minutes.
Head to Miyazaki prefectural road No. 36 Toi-misaki line from the National Route 448. (Travel time on the prefectural road no. 36 is approximately 40 minutes.)
