"Pinaisara Falls" is the largest waterfall in Okinawa Prefecture with a head of 54m. Located at the northern foot of Mt. Tedo, near the north coast of Iriomote Island. It rushes down a vertical cliff with a width of more than 200 m. Mangroves spread out on the course to the waterfall, and there are many tours including canoeing and sightseeing boats you can enjoy here. The name Pinaisara was given in the local dialect that means a white beard hanging down. Feel the power of nature and the living creatures of Iriomote Island, a special one - mountain cat - the cutest one of a kind that only exists on this island. There are only a few of them left and you will be lucky if you can see them.
