Nachi waterfall

One of the three biggest waterfalls in Japan, with a 133m fall, 13m width, and a 10m deep pool at its base. Every year on July 9th and December 27th the sacred ropes used for worship at the top of the falls are replaced. And visitors can pay their respects on New Year's Eve when the falls are lit up.

Nachi River, which flows from Nachi Falls, and the Nachi Primeval Forest that surround the area are also beautiful.
And be sure not to miss Kumano Nachi Taisha, one of the shrines of Kumano Sanzan, as it's nearby.

Nearest Station/IC Access
Take the Kumano Kotsu Bus bound for Mt. Nachi from Kii-Katsuura Station on the JR Kisei Main Line, get off at Nachi Falls and walk about 5 min
Get on Prefectural Road No. 43 from National Highway Road No. 42 and then to Prefectural Road No. 46. (Prefectural Road No. 43 will take about 25 min)
