The trees of Hakkoda that have withstood the harsh wind and snow transform into rime monster. Characteristically, the surface of the frost on the trees is sharp, because the ice sticks in the direction of the wind. This area is one of the most heavily snow-covered places in Aomori Prefecture, and thanks to this fact, this place offers a spectacular winter view.
