Apr.

Shichikawa Dam Lake was constructed for power plants and disaster prevention. The lake has a circumference of about 5km, and the promenade is lined with about 3000 cherry trees (prunus yedoensis).
The cherry blossoms are at their best from late March to early April, and the contrast between the greenery of the mountains and the cherry blossoms from the lakeside is exquisite. It attracts many visitors every year.
Also, the cherry blossoms are lit up at night after sunset. Since 2000, as part of the town's efforts to revitalize the area, colorful fish-shaped flags (pray for boys' good health) have been raised during the cherry blossom viewing season. It allows visitors to enjoy the collaboration of the cherry blossoms in full bloom and the colorful fish-shaped flags.
