The harshness of the Kiyotsugawa River's rapids and rock walls creates a majestic scenery. ”Keikoku Tunnel (Valley Tunnel)”, a tunnel for pedestrians, allows guests to gaze at the valley from a lookout area.

The promenade along the cliff is closed for safety reasons, but you can still enjoy a spectacular view of the gorge from Miharashijo it is possible to see the magnificent valley from the Miharashijo, the lookout area, which is situated on the middle of the newly built Kiyotsukyo Keikoku valley tunnel.

From JR "Echigo-Yuzawa station", ride the bus, alight at the "Kiyotsukyo Iriguchi" stop and walk about 20 minutes.
