Choshi Otaki Waterfall
- 銚子大滝
- Towadako (Lake Towada)
Choshi Ohtaki Waterfalls is about 15 meters wide and 7 meters high, and the sight of it with a large amount of water splashing down is breathtaking.
The waterfall is thought to have been formed by a fault that runs along the right side of the waterfall and by a stream flowing in from the left side. It is also called the "fish stopping waterfall" because fishes cannot climb up to Lake Towada.
The area around the waterfall can be enjoyed in all seasons, with fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snowy scenery. It makes it an attractive place to see various expressions throughout the year.
