The strange rocks of the Tatsukushi Coast are also known as the scenic beauty of Kochi Prefecture and the most unusual in the prefecture. Located near Cape Ashizuri in the western part of Kochi Prefecture, the rocks were deposited 20 to 15 million years ago, and the layers of sandstone and mudstone have been subjected to severe wind and wave erosion, creating the mysterious landscape that we see today.
On the coast, there are a variety of landmarks, such as Ootake-kotake, which is characterized by its rounded joints, "thousand frogs", Amano-hashidate, Mt. Fushiozan, and Shiborimakura.
